The Opportunity
Delaware North Sportservice is searching for seasonal Alcohol Compliance Supervisors to join our team at Comerica Park in Detroit, Michigan. In this role, you will ensure all areas of operation are compliant with state, federal, and local alcohol laws, along with company and unit-specific alcohol procedures.

Shifts
Day Events – 11am-4pm
Night Events – 5pm-10pm
Responsibilities
- Individually shop the entire park including Concessions, Vendors, Club, Den and Retail.
- Must be able to complete and submit no less than 20-30 shops/assessment into the Certainty website at the end of each event.
- Supervises the serving of alcohol by employees.
- Ensure employees serving alcohol are adhering to the alcohol service policy, ensuring responsible alcohol service.
- Must be able to assess behaviors and review associates relative to Responsible Alcohol Service and report accordingly
- Observe and document any alcohol-related issues.
- Answers questions and make recommendations regarding alcohol service.
- Ensure all associates serving alcohol have signed an acknowledgment of the alcohol policy and have a valid serving permit prior to the beginning of work.
- Assist with alcohol cut-off.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- Valid, unexpired alcohol pourer’s permit required prior to being hired.
- 2-5 years in full quality assessments
- Some College Preferred
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- HR knowledge, Quality Assurance and On-site Mystery Shopping is preferred
- Must be able to work 3-5 events during the Tiger Events or more if needed
- Good communication skills; ability to effectively communicate with guests, and retain and communicate service information.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to provide feedback and coaching to associates with varied experience levels.
- High attention to detail and ability to multi-task.
- Available to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Preferably experience in Quality Assessment.
- Excellent written skills required for taking copious notes.
- Must be able to submit clear, concise report for all shops reviewed for Alcohol Awareness.
- Must be able to work without constant supervision.
- Must be available for Weekend work primarily Friday-Sunday.
- Must be able to work DAY events at Comerica Park and possibly Little Caesars Arena.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for the entire length of shift, including walking up and downstairs and lifting as the work duties demand.
- May be exposed to variable temperatures, including extreme heat and cold, depending on the season.
