Description:
Position: Logistics/Materials Supervisor
Shift: Monday
– Friday 3rd Shift (11pm-7am)
JOB OVERVIEW
To supervise hourly employees, who receive, store, sequence, and deliver material to assembly ensuring TOS+ lean concepts are followed and improved.

Work involves a thorough understanding of material flow and plant operations.
Position will supervise roughly 25-35 hourly employees.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintains time and production records including employee documentation
Consistent logistics KPI-Tracking
Prepares shift hand-over/end of shift reports
Initiate changes in working conditions and processes to increase efficiency and quality (Kaizen, Truck
Operating System, Continuous Improvement, etc.)
Development of operational/tactical implementation plans which incorporates goals and objectives which
align with operational targets
Investigates parts issues and ensures containment and countermeasures are implemented
Order, stock and move material in a manner to meet production requirements while minimizing indirect
labor costs
Responds to customer concerns
Development of training programs and employee standard work instructions
Completes SWIs & SWI audits, 5s audits, employee training, and projects as required
Develop and follow SLI establishing and maintaining regular reporting concept and cadence with hourly
personnel
Keep Supplier Management informed of potential problems with part availability
Carry out basic equipment checks and confirms availability and condition, contacts maintenance if
necessary
Maintain efficient storage and control of material used in areas assigned.
Ensure safe and clean work areas To supervise and coordinate the activities for a group of hourly employees, who receive, store, sequence, and deliver material to assembly and machining lines.

Work involves a thorough understanding of material flow and plant operations.
Supervise daily material process and support production goals.
Maintain time and production records, including employee documentation.
Keep management abreast of progress, developments and pending problems.
Respond to customer concerns.
Interpret company policy to workers and enforces safety and environmental regulations while complying with terms of contractual labor agreement.
Keep Supplier Management informed of potential problems with parts delivery.
Prepare shift hand-over/end of shift reports.
Investigate parts issues and ensure containment and countermeasures are implemented.
Carry out basic equipment checks and confirms availability and condition, contact maintenance if necessary.
Suggest changes in working conditions and processes to increase efficiency and quality of shop, department or work crew.
Completes SWI’s & SWI audits, 5s audits, employee training, and projects as required.
Maintain quality standards and cost efficiency that are tracked with KPI’s.
Participate in the selection, training, and corrective action of employees within the material unit.

Additional Skills & Qualifications: Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree (Prefer Engineering, supply chain management, or related field)
Ability to communicate and make recommendations to upper management with effective oral and
written communication skills
Demonstrates application and knowledge of lean principles, behaviors and methodology within
project/daily work
Proven ability to analyze current processes, identify solutions and implement recommendations
Must be well organized and have the ability to manage multiple planning/implementation activities
simultaneously.
Must have effective oral and written communication skills
MRP system knowledge/experience (DIBS or PTSI knowledge)
Must have Proficient PC skills Microsoft Office (Excel, Access & Word)
TOS certification preferred
