Corewell Health (formerly Spectrum Health) has opened a new 80 bed sub-acute rehabilitation (SAR) Rehab and Nursing Center on Leffingwell, which provides short term, goal-oriented rehabilitation to individuals after surgery, serious injury or illness. Sub-acute rehabilitation is time limited with the purpose of improving function and discharging the patient home. Recovery will be enhanced by a natural setting with wetlands that provide comfortable, appealing and healing spaces.

The facility will be complemented by a 125-bed facility primarily focused on long-term care which is scheduled to open in 2024, located at the corner of Fuller and Cedar Streets in Grand Rapids. The combination of these facilities enables Corewell Health to offer the community a full continuum of rehab and nursing care in spacious, state-of-the-art facilities specifically designed for that care.

We offer positions as a Licensed Practice Nurse (LPN) and Registered Nurse (RN) in this new state of the art center. Your experience and licensure will allow us to discuss competitive pay and an outstanding benefits package. Shifts at each facility range from day shift, evening shift and night shift. Each shift has unique shift differentials attached to weekday and weekend rotations.

LPN Position Summary:

Under the direction of the RN / Mid-level Provider / Physician and in collaboration with other members of the health care team, contributes to the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.

RN Position Summary:

Delivers nursing care as described professionally by the American Nurses Association (ANA) and legally by the State of Michigan. Demonstrates competency through the critical thinking model known as the nursing process. This includes assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Upholds the standards of professional performance as described by the ANA. This includes ethical practice, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence-based practice and research, quality of practice, professional practice evaluation, resource utilization and environmental health. Strives to achieve optimal outcomes. 

Qualifications

  • Associate’s Degree Nursing or LPN Certification – Required
  • RN or LPN license in State of Michigan – Required upon hire
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) 90 Days Required
