GENERAL FUNCTION:

  • Provides a wide range of duties related to the day-to-day functions required in processing a Mortgage loan .
  • Responsible and accountable for risk by openly exchanging ideas and opinions, elevating concerns, and personally following policies and procedures as defined.
  • Accountable for always doing the right thing for customers and colleagues and ensures that actions and behaviors drive a positive customer experience.
  • While operating within the Bank’s risk appetite, achieves results by consistently identifying, assessing, managing, monitoring, and reporting risks of all types.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work with internal partners, teammates, and leaders to manage and resolve customer service Issues to meet or exceed goals, objectives, and standards.
  • Investigates internal and external customer inquiries and independently researches and resolves problems related to assigned processes.
  • Maintain knowledge of pertinent processes in order to handle escalated problems and issues.
  • Adhere to defined compliance, regulatory, and risk guidelines.
  • Retrieve needed documents from various customers, internal partners, settlement agents, lenders, county clerk offices etc.
  • Validate and audit documents according to guidelines as well as internal system procedures.
  • Responsible for the determination of requirements, review and completion of all due diligence processed associated with assigned tasks.
  • Assisting in other areas as needed.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None

Job Requirements:

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum one-year customer service, mortgage processing or loan originations experience preferred.
  • Broad understanding of residential mortgage loans.
  • Proven computer skills with knowledge of windows based applications (MS Office) required.
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills.
  • Demonstrated teamwork and customer service skills.
  • Ability to analyze policies, procedures and guidelines in a way that maximizes productivity but protects the level of risk desired.
  • Ability to learn and apply knowledge of conventional, government, portfolio guidelines and the computer loan application system.
  • Strong PC skills (MS Office) required
  • Demonstrated organizational skills.
