New business coordinator

This is a Full-time position in Southfield, MI posted November 17, 2019.

The New Business Coordinator is responsible for processing new business applications, in a timely and efficient manner, from associates who are located within both the core and detached office locations, as well as those with broker contracts. This position reports to the Operations Leader and is classified as non-exempt.

To deliver support to the financial advisors and sales leaders/managers (SMs) for the complete sales cycle to include:Review all applications for accuracy and completeness, requirements have been ordered and receivedPrompt and professional communication with advisors regarding incomplete/incorrect application submissionPerform application data entry Report/meet regularly with SMs and advisors regarding pending businessPerform New Advisor training with best practices on submission of applications Daily case management of all pending policies Maintain pending business log Proficient in ADE for paper applicationsExecuting service level agreements for pending business in every stage to ensure advisor communication (submitted, approved, issued) Systematic follow up on outstanding underwriting requirements (paramed, CMI, APS, etc.)Develop relationships with key home office stakeholders to assist in all cycles of the sales processManage policy delivery by printing paper applications or sending via e-delivery, and managing outstanding requirements Review the IPM system weekly to avoid keeping funds over 90 daysPolicies reported in an accurate and timely manner proactivity to push the advisor to collect moneyAdditional support as requestedResults ExpectedEnsure New Business applications are processed accurately and in accordance with agency’s submission timelineEnsure timely follow-up throughout the New Business processing cycle, from submission to reporting of the policyEffective New Business/field underwriting training for agents and support staffReporting of all policies within one day of authorization for those cases with applicable initial premiumIdentify areas of weakness and prepare recommendations to Operations LeaderMeasurement CriteriaOperating within SLA Open case duration Cycle times kept to a lowAdvisor satisfaction
