Caribou Thunder is seeking a Test Software Developer to join a fast paced program supporting U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command – Ground Vehicle Systems Center engineering group. As an experienced Software Engineer, you will work in an Agile cross-functional team, applying your knowledge and skills by providing technical engineering services that support development of user interfaces for unmanned vehicle systems. This work will include the development of modular software, integration frameworks, design, development, test, and documentation of operational software products. It may involve the coordination and integration of other software activities and products from other supplying entities. RESPONSIBILITIES Software Development following standard software processes. Communication skills required to interface with systems and software development engineers as well as customer stakeholders. Design software following defined architectures. Integrate and Test Software from internal and external software development teams. Investigation of software reports to replicate and trouble shoot defects in software. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. citizenship is required. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (CS, CE, EE, Math) and 5 years of experience. Ability to obtain and maintain a US Government security clearance. Ability to troubleshoot and debug issues in a team environment. Strong UI development experience using Qt or similar in a Linux environment. Strong C development. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Experience developing Software in an Agile process following formal industry accepted processes & guidelines. Ability to troubleshoot and debug issues using GDB, hardware debugger. Ability to write scripts in Linux such as python, shell scripts.
