Looking for PRN caregivers for 1st (6a-2p) 2nd (2p-10p) and 3rd (10p-6a)
Job Description:
Resident Support Staff are selected on the basis of such factors as a sympathetic attitude toward the care of the elderly, ability to read, write and carry out directions, and maturity and ability to deal effectively with the demands of the job.
Responsible to assure residents’ daily care and service needs are met, including all basic activities of daily living (bathing, grooming, hygiene, toilet assistance, dressing, eating, socializing, participating in activities, etc.)
Follows resident service plan for level of assistance and support needed.
Reporting changes in the resident’s condition and needs as they occur.
Light housekeeping chores, (including bed making, linen changes, straightening and dusting, trash removal, laundry, etc.)
Will practice appropriate safe, sanitary hygiene.
The Basics-
Hourly range $15.00-$18.00
MONTHLY-
PRN staff will be required to pick up and work 3 shifts a month (24 hours total). Two of these shifts (16 hours) will need to be on a weekend. A weekend is classified as a Saturday or Sunday on 1st or 2nd and a Friday night or Saturday night on 3rd. The weekend shifts are not required to be consecutive.
HOLIDAYS-
PRN staff will be required to work two holidays a year. Holidays include: New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day.
The hours worked on a holiday will count towards the monthly minimum requirement and will be considered a weekend shift even if it is worked on a weekday.
Your Responsibilities-
Being on PRN means that your schedule requirements may be different, but you are still responsible for attending meetings, responding to OnShift request, and other employment-based requirements.
Picking up Shifts-
There are a couple ways to pick up shifts while PRN:
You may use OnShift to click on the Open Shifts once the schedule is posted
Once you pick up a shift and it is put on OnShift, it will be considered yours. If, for any reason, you cannot work the shift that you were approved for, it will be your responsibility to find your own replacement.
