This position leads major Business Excellence initiatives, provides expertise in Business Excellence methodologies and coaches innovation project Black Belts and Green Belts.

The Business Excellence and Innovation Leader will also lead value add projects across the business lines.

These projects will require the professional to coordinate between multiple disciplines and technologies, across business lines, and within global project teams**Key Responsibilities**+ Leads and/or mentors highly complex or ‘umbrella’ type Business Excellence projects.+ Independently leads, to successful completion and implementation, Business Excellence improvement projects.+ Provides strategic consulting services to leaders in the organization related to Business Excellence tools and techniques (Innovation, Business Process Management, Lean and Six Sigma).+ Coaches Champions and Process Owners on project selection, scope, and assuring linkage between projects and business priorities.+ Leads the planning, development, deployment and maturity of Business Process Management practices for their assigned areas of responsibility.+ Leads tool instruction series with a mix of theory/application and hands-on activities.+ Recruits qualified Yellow Belt and Green Belt candidates for training and certification.+ Reviews/clarifies improvement project rationale with Project Champion and Process Owner.+ Selects or helps select the Business Excellence team members for projects they lead or mentor.+ Ensures the schedules and budgets for their Business Excellence Projects are maintained.+ Mentors and guides Business Excellence Green Belts during the Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control (DMAIC) or Define, Measure, Analyze, Design, Verify (DMADV) phases of their projects.+ Trains other professionals to become Business Excellence Green Belts and orients others to Business Excellence tools and methods.+ Confirms financial validation is obtained from Finance for each of their Business Excellence Projects and reviews/approves the quality of Business Excellence Projects completed by Green Belt Professionals reporting to them.+ Documents the final Business Excellence Project results and supports creation of project closeout presentations for the Steering Committee.+ Provides expert consultation and assistance to process owners regarding monitoring and measurement of performance data for the company.+ Utilizes both broad and in-depth industry knowledge as well as technical expertise to counsel teams and Black Belts to support the success of Business Excellence endeavors.+ Supports the monitoring and reporting of the results obtained from Business Excellence improvement projects including financial tracking and achievements against annual goals.

Follows up to ensure project changes are fully implemented and results are sustained over time.**Management Responsibilities****Preferred Qualifications**+ Master Black Belt Certification+ Advanced degree (MA, MS, MBA).

Technical or Business degrees preferred+ Significant (10+ years) EC industry related experience or significant Lean Six Sigma experience+ Advanced team-based, data-based Leadership skills.+ Advanced Change Management skills.+ Ability to define, measure and analyze complex business problems and provide senior leadership with feasible recommendations for improvement.+ Advanced knowledge of Innovation, Business Process Management, Lean and Six Sigma tools and techniques and their application to solve relevant business problems.+ Advanced knowledge of statistical tools including Minitab software.+ Understanding of metrics used in measuring performance data within the Company.+ Working knowledge of financial measures used within the Company as well as related principles and application.+ Familiarity with industries in which the Company competes and related operating principles is desirable but not mandatory.+ Ability to inspire and energize others in team-oriented environment.+ Ability to contemplate complex matters and analyze using various means.+ Effective project management skills (resources, scope, schedule, results, and risk).+ Effective mentoring skills and behaviors
– ability to successfully guide Green Belts.+ Good team-builder with understanding of team dynamics; have good influencing skills and can motivate others.+ Ability to interface with diverse personalities, multiple departments, and individuals at all levels of the organization.+ Ability to effectively conduct training sessions and transfer knowledge to others.**Minimum Qualifications**Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited University; In addition, continued education regarding Lean Six Sigma in the form of additional course-work, teaching, or instructional conference attendance.

Demonstrated success as a Business Excellence Green Belt (Successfully led at least 2 Business Excellence projects to completion).
