In addition to being assigned real projects that deliver results, students also participate in networking events, personal development training, and community service opportunities, among other activities that show you what Life at Tenneco is all about!Possible responsibilities include:+ Responsible for investigation, analysis, escalation & resolution of vendor accounts payable issues to ensure timely payment to vendors and to maximize company cash flow.+ Process vendor claims and disputes, with the end goal of determining root causes of disputes and implement preventative measures to eliminate future recurrences.+ Extensive interaction with other areas within Motorparts and Ride Performance divisions of Tenneco and our off-shore 3rd party provider to resolve vendor disputes and payment delays.+ Vendor management involving the analysis of vendor payment terms and payment frequency. Required SkillsRequired of an Intern:Must be able to work independently and in a team based environmentExcellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skillsExcellent problem solving and analytical skillsEffective time management skillsProficient in Excel, PowerPoint and WordRequired ExperienceMinimum Qualifications:Student currently enrolled and pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institutionStudent with a minimum overall cumulative GPA of 2.8 or higherAbility to work at least 40 hours per week during the internship periodAbility to provide own transportation to/from the job siteLegally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorshipPreferred Qualifications:Student currently enrolled and pursuing a Bachelor’s in Accounting, Economics, or Finance from an accredited institutionStudent with a minimum overall cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higherWe are an equal opportunity employer.
