Job Summary

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Senior Vice President (SVP) of Marketing is responsible for developing, implementing and executing a framework of marketing and communication strategies, setting target metrics (KPIs) for each strategy, identifying the appropriate mediums required, performing quality reviews, monitoring all aspects, and then course correcting all marketing performances based on project and company objectives.

The Senior Vice President of Marketing will lead the Marketing, Communication, and Creative teams embedded within a fast-paced real estate company. In this role, the Senior Vice President of Marketing will grow and lead a team of marketing strategists, social media experts, copywriters, internal and external communication professions, creative and multimedia specialists, and other subject matter experts required to develop and implement all marketing strategy frameworks. For designated projects and initiatives, the SVP of Marketing will lead the internal teams to create marketing strategy frameworks or select, hire, and manage external consultants. Through partnerships internally, this role requires an acute awareness of marketing diversity, inclusiveness, and engaging the community. To ensure the success of every project, the SVP of Marketing may also collaborate with other leaders within Dan Gilbert’s Family of Companies (FOC) and external partners as needed. 

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a framework of marketing, communication, and creative strategies, identify and establish key target metrics (KPIs) for each strategy, identify the appropriate mediums required, implement and deploy all marketing strategies, perform quality reviews, monitor all aspects and course correct all marketing performances based on project and company objectives
  • Oversee co-creation, activation, sets targets and monitors the performance of marketing initiatives in alignment with Bedrock’s leadership strategic insights and key customer groups
  • Provide leadership and creativity in storytelling and setting the company narrative to raise awareness of Bedrock and the City’s unique attributes
  • Ability to build the Bedrock brand to an international level
  • Collaborate with all Bedrock leadership to ensure all marketing plans are aligned across the organization and, if necessary, external stakeholders
  • Collaborate on the design and execution of all internal and external marketing campaigns that may include promotional online, website, video, tv, radio, and print programs to drive revenue, enrollment, retention, and ensure products focus on diversity, inclusiveness, and engaging the community
  • Ensure organization and delivery of all marketing teamwork to achieve targets by overseeing consolidation, management and maintenance of Marketing team requests from external customers and internal teams, marketing plans, team priorities, external marketing consultants’ proposals, contracts, performance reviews, internal and external approvals
  • Communicate marketing performance by distributing marketing reports and best practices to support continuous improvement activities
  • Communicate value and market position to sales team
  • Provide team and company leadership in current competitive/market research, analysis of market trends, positioning of our assets, and potential value proposition(s)
  • Provide forward-thinking thought leadership of real estate markets, customers, and consumers in all of Bedrock’s cities and competitive urban environments
  • Manage all budget, planning, optimal organization structure, staffing and continuity of services by Bedrock marketing team and hired consultants
  • Create and enforce all marketing team and multi-disciplinary marketing strategy standards, processes, policies, quality reviews, collaborative requirements, prioritization systems, and marketing procedures
  • Represent Bedrock in subject-matter expertise conferences, public events, and other related programs
  • Grow and lead all marketing team members through mentorship, professional expectations, and empowerment
  • Inspire the desired team culture by cultivating a team vision and celebrating the expertise of each team member
  • Inspire team members through attitude, actions, and behavior
  • Utilize and maximize the expertise and talents of others by creating and enforcing a collaborative team environment

The Team

The Marketing Team is responsible for developing and deploying all Bedrock marketing strategies that ultimately showcase our company, our properties, and our cities in the most visionary and effective ways possible. In order to best tell our multitude of stories to a diversity of audiences, the marketing team should create work which celebrates all historic aspects of our real estate and cities, promotes the cultural heritage of our existing real estate communities, and showcases our company’s inclusive vision for our shared urban environments.
