Systems engineer

Work within Infrastructure team standards as they relate to AmeriTrust Group Inc, corporate direction.

This team is responsible for infrastructure technology implementation, monitoring and event management efforts for the enterprise.

Our customers are both infrastructure and application areas. JOB FUNCTION: Work within Infrastructure team standards as they relate to AmeriTrust’s corporate direction.Our Tech Stack:Windows, Azure, Office365, MS SQL, EMC Avarma, VMware, Citrix, Cisco UCS, Cisco Networking, Pure StorageWhat You’ll Do:Proactively help us continue scaling:Cloud: Migrate appropriate workloads to AzureStorage: Plan for storage capacity, safely move existing storage to Azure and reallocate on-premises storageBackups: Enhance our availability by contributing to backup projects and toolingOwn general maintenance, such as patching servers and updating firmwareJump in as needed, wearing multiple hats and cross-training with the team You:5+ years of systems engineering experience:Working in a Windows environmentUtilizing VMwareCapacity planning for storageWorking with backup toolsThrive in a collaborative environment, pairing on work and picking up a variety of responsibilitiesAdaptable to changing priorities and understanding diverse stakeholder’s infrastructure needsDesire to empathetically share and receive feedback and knowledge to help everyone keep improvingESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 1.

Engineering as servers, routers, switches and other equipment as needed to support AmeriTrust’s infrastructure.

2.

Function as 2nd and 3rd level support for Data Center issues.

3.

Work with vendors and manufacturers to maintain up-to-date support and systems versions.

4.

Maintain up-to-date Total QualityManagement documentation on all procedural operations.

5.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Ability to interact with others in a professional manner 7.

Attendance KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED TO PERFORM ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 1.

Associate’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent strongly desired.

Bachelor’s degree preferred.

2.

At least 5 years of experience working with Microsoft Server 2008/2012/2016 , Office 365, Cisco Router and Switch & Telephone experience 3.

Working knowledge of Client/Server applications.

4.

At least 5 years experience in a technical support role.

5.

At least 5 years experience with Data Center Centric 6.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

7.

Excellent communication skills and be able to interact at all levels of corporate or client management as well as with vendors.

8.

Must be able to lift 50 pounds or more.

9.

Ability to adjust work schedule and work additional hours, as necessary.

10.

Sit, stand, walk/ambulatory
