Description:

Position Title: Perioperative Service Lead

• Service Lines: Orthopedic and Orthopedic trauma surgery
• Monday – Friday, Full Time, Day Shift

Position Summary:

Coordinates service line with Surgical Staff, Sterile Processing, Sales Representatives, Section Leader and Surgeons within the specialty. Proficient in the duties of the Perioperative Nurse and performs a clinical role as needed. Embraces and promotes system values to ensure customer satisfaction and excellence in patient care.

What the Perioperative Service Lead will need:

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• Preferred: BSN
• Current Michigan RN license.
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Certification.
• Preferred: AORN Certification
• 2-3 years OR Nurse experience
• Strong knowledge and competency in performing nursing duties within the perioperative specialty.

What the Perioperative Service Lead will do:

• Coordinates service line with Surgical Staff, Sterile Processing, Sales Representatives, Section Leader and Surgeons within the specialty.

• Proficient in the duties of the Perioperative Nurse and performs a clinical role as needed.

• Embraces and promotes system values to ensure customer satisfaction and excellence in patient care.

• Liaison with surgeons regarding patient needs in the operating room environment.

• Facilitates safe and reliable care for patients in this environment.
