Pharmacy Customer Service Representative

Healthcare Support

This is a Full-time position in Detroit, MI posted November 20, 2021.

Are you an experienced Customer Service Representative looking for a new opportunity with a prestigious healthcare company? Do you want the chance to advance your career by joining a rapidly growing company? If you answered “yes” to any of these questions – this is the position for you!

Daily Responsibilities:

  • Will be taking inbound phone calls from members, pharmacies, providers, and government partners to help them navigate the benefits of various plans. Team uses a combination of proprietary and vendor software systems to view claim and prior authorization information, place overrides, log calls, etc.
  • Will reach out for escalated assistance when necessary and place overrides for medications where appropriate
  • Handling about 50 calls a day – must meet metrics (91% adherence, 80% production, and less than 2 minute hold time)
  • WFH as long as performance is good

Minimum Education/ Licensures/Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 2+ years of true call center customer service experience OR someone with 2+ years of retail pharm tech experience who is willing to do call center
  • 1+ years of experience in healthcare (prefer retail pharmacy or PBM)
  • Prefer pharm tech license but not required
  • Experience working with Prior Authorizations preferred
  • Good soft skills!
  • Computer Skills – Outlook, Excel, and Word
  • Ability to work from home – smart phone, internet, and private workspace (prefer them to have their own computer)
  • Willing to get COVID vaccine before conversion to FTE/return to office

Shift: M-F, 9:30-6:00 EST

Start Date: 12/6, hard start date – have scheduled classes every 4 weeks

Pay Rate: $17/hour
