Application Support Analyst I

Job Summary:The Application Support Analyst position is responsible for maintaining and supporting applications in use by credit union staff.

Support includes testing and installing software, troubleshooting issues, implementing new features, communicating with business units and technology vendors, and developing and maintaining documentation.Responsibilities:Develops proficiency with applications, and identifies new opportunities for process improvements.Completes new installations and version upgrades for applications on servers and/or users PCs.Ensures applications and reports have been sufficiently tested and meet functionality requirements.Provides technical support and troubleshooting to business units, solving or escalating the problem as necessary.Researches and analyzes requests to provide recommendation for system enhancements, policies and implementation.Develops understanding of business processes and how it relates to applications.Collaborates with other areas of IT.Maintains ongoing communication with assigned departments.Maintains application documentation.Maintains professional vendor relationships.Assists with projects and performs other duties as assigned.Preferred Education and Experience:Two year college degree in CIS/MIS/CS or similar; or two years of related experience.Poses strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Must be able to communicate effectively and discuss technical issues, with all levels of employees, business units, and vendors in both written and oral format.Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of employees, business units, and vendors.Strong organization skills and attention to detail.Ability to work independently.Ability to maintain regularly scheduled attendance.Knowledge of CRM systems is a plus.
